The 2024 Rumson St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Grand Marshal
Michael Del Priore
Michael’s mother’s family, the Kinlins, came to the U.S. in the late 1800s from Eastern Ireland near Drogheda. The Kinlins still run several taverns in the town of Drogheda. The family originally settled in Hudson County, New Jersey, before moving to the New Jersey Shore.
Michael started his professional career in the Trust departments of Chase Manhattan and the Bank of New York. He retired from J&W Seligman after a 25-year career as a Senior Managing Director in 2008. Since then, he has been a consultant to several firms in the investment management business. While at Seligman, Michael was responsible for many aspects of the institutional investment business, including managing the group for several years. While at Seligman, he also helped to expand the firm’s international business and, as a result, traveled all over the world, including to Russia, China, and Hungary as Communist governments began to open up.
His affiliations include a charter membership of the Northern Ireland Children’s Endowment and affiliate memberships in the Council of Institutional Investors, National Association of State Treasurers, National Council of Public Employees Retirement Systems, National Association of Securities Professionals, and the National Council of Teachers Retirement Systems.
He has also served as a trustee of the Monmouth County Visiting Nurses Association for 40 years, and the Monmouth Medical Center Foundation for 30 years, and he has helped fund Roberts & Ryan Inc., a Service-Disabled Veterans firm that supports wounded veterans.
Michael and his wife Nancy now reside at Sailfish Point in Stuart, Florida, and spend their summers in Rumson, New Jersey. They have two children--Michael, who is married to Mary, and Mark, who is married to Meghan; as well as six grandchildren. Michael and Nancy are members of the New York Athletic Club, Monmouth Beach Bath & Tennis Club, Navesink Country Club, Sailfish Point Golf Club, Olympic Golf Club, and the Floridian Golf Club.
